Police investigators in California have seized and destroyed about 10million cannabis plants worth 1billion dollars according to police reports released over the weekend.

Police seized and destroyed the cannabis plants after testing and discovering that the THC (psychoactive compound in marijuana) was higher than 0.3, the legal limit for industrial hemp production, and deemed it unsafe for consumption and the environment.

The investigators searched 11 different fields in the Arvin area, north of Los Angeles,  about 459 acres of land with assistance from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) and FBi on Oct. 25 after obtaining a search warrant, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office wrote on it's Facebook page.
